MLS Mextranjero Round Up!

Hugo Balta

We are four weeks into the 2021 MLS season and all of our Mextranjero in the league have now seen at least some playing time. El Tri Online took a look at how Mextranjeros faired this past weekend:

Wild West: Chicharito returned to his hot streak form this past weekend in the LA Derby against LAFC scoring 1 goal (6th of the season) and also providing an assist to Jonathan Dos Santos to defeat the Black and Gold in Carson 2-1. Chicharito currently stands as the league leader in goals after 4 weeks, can his hot streak continue?

Mid West: Alan Pulido played in his second game of the season, after debuting last week and scoring his first goal. Pulido and company were able to hold on for a 2-1 victory against the newest team in the league Austin FC. Pulido looks to continue playing the full 90 minutes and getting back to form.

East Coast: Out east we saw another battle of Mextranjero vs Mextranjero as Rodolfo Pizarro and Inter Miami hosted Eric ‘Cubo’ Torres and Atlanta United. Pizarro played all 90 minutes and Cubo Torres was subbed in during the 73rd minute as both teams played to a 1-1 draw.
