Description of the video:
This week we spoke with Monserrate Quiñones, commissioner of the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, about the pandemic’s impacts on the Commission’s operations and services, along with the importance of diversity and inclusion within workplaces.
Commissioner Monserrate Quiñones shared that the MCAD has transitioned many of their operations online, due to the pandemic, so the Commission could proceed with their core services. However, she added that residents’ lack of access to technology and internet access has been a concern, particularly for communities of color and economically-disadvantaged communities. With such considerations in mind, MCAD continues to receive complaints over the phone and by regular mail.
