The Latino News Network and Pero Make It Newsy are thrilled to announce a new partnership that celebrates women (and female-identified) Hispanic-Latinas to take center stage.

The collaboration between LNN and Pero Make It Newsy will encourage news coverage and storytelling that emphasizes Hispanic-Latina women, increasing exposure of undercovered experiences and creating powerful stories around women’s work and impact on today’s society.

As a relatively new weekly newsletter, Pero Make It Newsy’s founders Maria Elena Perez and Nikki Rojas have made enormous strides in making a name for themselves in a short period of time. Unlike other newsletters, Pero Make It Newsy is an undeniably unique outlet for people curious about culture, female experiences, and the Hispanic-Latino community.

“We are so excited to collaborate with Latino News Network and cover stories by, for and all about women,” Maria Elena and Nikki said. “We believe it’s so important to work with one another to highlight and give space to women, especially women of color. Unfortunately, Latinas rarely see themselves portrayed in the media and the news. Through this partnership, Pero Make It Newsy and LNN hope to address that issue.”

As the only English language, news, information and entertainment outlet dedicated to Hispanic-Latino women, LNN shares Pero Make It Newsy’s mission. This new partnership will offer a higher engagement across a broad range of demographics through its English language content designed as comprehensible and for a fast read.
