MIAMI, FL – February 12, 2021 – (NOTICIAS NEWSWIRE) – IMC Health Medical Centers has formally committed to prepare, hire, retain and celebrate Hispanics in the workplace by signing the Hispanic Promise. Backed by We Are All Human and 20+ Hispanic organizations, the Hispanic Promise is a corporate America pledge signed by nearly 200 companies to prepare, hire, promote, retain and celebrate Hispanics in the workplace. Although the medical center has actively worked toward Hispanic inclusion in the workforce since its inception in 2004, IMC’s endorsement of this non-legally binding pledge identifies the company as a leading example of corporate social responsibility in the community.

“We are proud to say that 94 percent of our staff, 86 percent of upper management and 25 percent of our C-Suite officers are Hispanic. Therefore, signing this pledge is just a promise that we will continue the mission of representation,” said IMC Health CEO Bill Lamoureux. “Not only is Hispanic representation in our workforce important to us, but it is also a way we offer our Hispanic patients—who make up 65% of our members—medical personnel who speak their native language and experience the same medical risk factors first-hand.”

We Are All Human’s mission is to advance an agenda of equity, inclusion, and representation. In partnership with Hispanic organizations nationwide, We Are All Human created this pledge as a way for Corporate America to signal their commitment to the community. Today, IMC Health joins the ranks of companies like IBM, Lyft, P&G, Colgate-Palmolive, Johnson & Johnson, Motel 6, Airbnb, and Ikea in their commitment to the mission.

“We are thrilled to welcome IMC to the Hispanic Promise family,” said Claudia Romo Edelman, Founder of We Are All Human Foundation. “The promise of Hispanics is the promise of America. We need everyone to understand that we are makers, not takers; we are successes, not failures, we have family values and value hard work. Hispanic values are American values. The moment all Corporate America supports us, we will thrive.”

In addition to hiring and promoting Hispanic individuals, IMC also strives to celebrate its team’s accomplishments as leading professionals in the medical industry. Lamoureux has recently nominated IMC Chief Medical Officer Dr. Mayda Antun and Director of Community and Corporate Partnerships Carolina Veira for prestigious awards in the medical and business industries.

“This is just one of the many ways IMC Health offers my Hispanic colleagues and I opportunities to serve as examples of success in our community and industry,” said Dr. Antun. “I hope that by signing the Hispanic Promise, IMC will motivate more corporations to pledge to celebrate Hispanic achievement in their workforce.”
